Assassin's Creed Unity's campaign is true to the series' roots. Whatever future updates they may bring to the series, we're definitely not going to need to worry about skipping tutorial missions. For the first time since the second game, though, the main gameplay is at least as questionable as the new graphical engine. The climbing sequences are no longer decent (especially if you have a widescreen monitor), making a "skating" section as easy and smooth as an awkward and stilted fight sequence. If you can't walk in a straight line, you're doing something wrong.
Assassin's Creed Unity is a heavily modified version of Assassin's Creed 2 with some huge differences. If you don't know what you're doing you can lose all your progress quite easily so if you're new to the series I wouldn't recommend it.
